The party explores the cave, where they meet the young Karim, a former prisoner of the creature living in the lair. Talking with Karim, the party understands this creature must be a hag.
The PCs meet a band of sirens. In the beginning the creatures are aggressive, but when the party spares the life of one of them, they seem more willing to parley.
The party forms an alliance of sorts with the sirens, and take a short rest to plan their next move. They visit another cave, where they must fight against some giant spiders, and then they meet a small tribe of kuo-toas. Luckily for both sides these creatures remain on the defensive, and the PCs decide to not fight them.
In the next cave they encounter a fomorian giant. The party tries to fool the giant into helping them, but their first attempt does not seem to be a success.
