The party is travelling through the forest, when they spot flying creatures on the horizon. Not much later, a man comes running out of a copse of trees, calling for help. The PCs notice that he's been hunted by a flock of wyverns.
While they fight the wyverns, a knight arrives from the east, and also lends his help. All together they manage to kill a wyvern, and send another two on the run.
The PCs take some time to get to know the two new arrivals, Èiraden the bard and JP the knight. The two eventually decide to join the party in their travels.
A few days later the party comes upon a town under attack from a warband of orcs. Strangely enough, these orcs are "enhanced" by weird weapons attached to their bodies. The party recognizes the technology they encountered in the lost mines a few weeks back.Clearly the orcs must have invaded the mountain that is also the party's destination, and are using the tools they found there to attack nearby settlements.
